Vintage 72
As the name suggests, Vintage 72 is an antique-style shop located on Highway 72, but don’t be fooled by the name. This isn’t your grandparent’s antique store!
Vintage 72 is a booth-style store that boasts over thirty unique vendors, some of whom have products you wouldn’t expect to find in a store advertised as ‘vintage.’
What Can I Find at Vintage 72?
It feels like a bit of a cop out to say that Vintage 72 has a little bit of everything, but it truly does!
Of course, there are plenty of vendors there that sell what you would expect to find in an antique store. There were booths that had antique furniture, tools, toys, housewares, and the like, but that was just the start of it.
There was a fair share of more modern furniture and housewares there as well. And even some vintage pieces that had been refinished to give them a more modern spin.
There was a booth that sold pet supplies, treats, collars and clothes. There were several booths that sold jewelry (new and vintage). There was a booth that sold boutique style clothing. Several that sold handmade personal care items, like soaps, bath scrubs, and lip balms.
There is even an entire room downstairs that is dedicated to records!
And much much more! Genuinely, I think if you knew what you were looking for, you could find it (or something similar) at Vintage 72.
What is it Like to Shop at Vintage 72?
The Atmosphere
Vintage 72 has a hip, modern atmosphere. It seems to cater to a younger demographic interested in vintage items, but the store could be enjoyed by anyone.
When I entered, I was greeted by a friendly employee who immediately gave me a warm greeting and offered to help me find whatever I was searching for.
The store is clean and relatively well organized. During my visit, soft Christian music was playing.
The Prices
Vintage 72 has many different booths, with each of the booths being run by different vendors. Each vendor is allowed to set their own price, so the prices vary between booths. This makes it hard to give a price range.
This does provide shoppers with the unique ability to shop for deals in one store. If you are looking for a particular item, you may be able to find several of the item that you are searching for, allowing you to choose the one you like best (or the one at the best price!).
The average item costs between 15 and 200 dollars.
Christian Based
When I first arrived, I noticed that the shop was playing a Christian-based radio station playing modern Christian music. As I continued to look around, I also found a small room full of tags with people’s prayers written on them. The room was a place to pray, and the tags allowed others to pray for other people’s concerns.
Other Important Information – The Layout
One of the biggest things that stood out to me when I visited was the shop’s layout and the challenges it may have.
Vintage 72 appears to be in what used to be a home. It has two floors, one on the main level and one similar to a basement. When I was visiting, something that stood out to me was the potential difficulty navigating the store, either as a person with disabilities or as a customer attempting to move a large item.
The only way to the lower floor (at least that I saw) was a set of relatively narrow stairs. I could imagine that moving furniture up those stairs could be challenging when you purchased it.
There was also a booth on the lower floor full of lumber, which might be challenging to maneuver through the narrow staircase.
And, of course, anyone with mobility challenges may not be able to enjoy the lower floor.
Visiting Vintage 72
Overall, Vintage 72 is a great spot to visit if you are looking for a furniture piece for your home, a great place to visit to shop for boutique-style clothing or a great place to visit if you are just looking for an activity on a rainy day. It is an interesting shop with kind employees, and even just visiting to look around is a great adventure!
