Houston Scott, Westminster Christian: In just one half, Scott connected on 8 of 10 passes, totaling 158 yards and three touchdowns (34, 28, and 2 yards), helping Westminster Christian secure a 58-13 win over D.A.R.
Tristan Childers, Boaz: Childers paced Boaz with 95 rushing yards and a touchdown on 15 carries, helping the Pirates secure a 40-13 victory over Douglas.
Damarcus Malone, Athens: Malone ran for 101 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries, helping the Golden Eagles secure a 50-20 victory over Jasper.
Julyon Jordan, Guntersville: The South Alabama commit racked up 90 yards on 12 carries, scoring both of Guntersville’s touchdowns in their 17-15 victory over Arab.
Homely Huntsville Player of the Week Winners
Week 1: Trey Greenwell, Decatur (15 tackles, a 60-yard pick-six, and a 65-yard punt return for a touchdown.)
Week 2: Noah Gaunt, Randolph: Gaunt went for 153 yards and two touchdowns at receiver in a 32-31 win over Class 4A No. 8 Madison Academy. He also recovered a fumble for a touchdown.
Week 3: Jake Jones, Scottsboro: led to a 42-35 win over Boaz, amassing 361 total yards and four touchdowns. He rushed for 226 yards on 25 carries with three touchdowns while completing 12 of 15 passes for 135 yards and another touchdown.
Week 4: Layton Pohl, New Hope: Pohl had a standout performance in New Hope’s 48-24 victory over Madison County on Friday. Pohl amassed 284 yards and five touchdowns on 19 rushing attempts, adding two receptions for 47 yards and another score.
