Kona Grill has closed its Huntsville restaurant at Bridge Street Town Centre, with several signs suggesting the location may not reopen.
A longtime Bridge Street restaurant has closed
The Huntsville location opened in 2016 and became part of the dining lineup at Bridge Street Town Centre. It was the only Kona Grill location in Alabama.
A notice posted at the restaurant said it was closed, while an employee indicated that the closure could be long-term. The restaurant’s Huntsville location has also been removed from the Kona Grill website, and several food delivery platforms no longer list it.
Parent company has faced declining sales
Kona Grill is part of The ONE Group, a national restaurant company that has closed or converted some locations in recent years as sales have declined.
The company continues to operate restaurants across the United States. FOX54 reported that it had contacted The ONE Group for additional information about the Huntsville closure.
Kona Grill’s menu included steaks, seafood, sushi, cocktails and other American grill favorites.
More restaurants are coming to Bridge Street
While the future of the former Kona Grill space remains unclear, Bridge Street Town Centre continues to add new dining options.
North Italia is expected to open at the shopping center in late October, while Shake Shack is planned for 2027. The additions will bring more restaurant choices to the Huntsville development as it continues to expand its dining lineup.
