The Boys & Girls Club of North Alabama received 10 new computers to help create a technology lab at its Calvary Hills campus in Huntsville.
New computers will support local youth
The computers were donated by the Alabama Statewide Organization of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. The new equipment will give students access to technology for education, digital learning and other activities.
The organization said the donation is intended to help young people build skills that can prepare them for future opportunities.
Technology access remains a priority
With Huntsville’s strong ties to science, technology, engineering and mathematics, local leaders see access to technology as an important resource for students.
The new computer lab will provide young people with additional tools to develop digital skills and explore educational opportunities.
A resource for the Calvary Hills campus
The computer lab will expand the resources available to youth at the Boys & Girls Club’s Calvary Hills location.
Leaders hope the technology will help students become more prepared for school, careers and future opportunities in Huntsville’s growing technology-focused community.
