A Tennessee-based butcher shop is expanding into Huntsville with its first restaurant, bringing a new burger concept to Stadium Commons near Joe Davis Stadium this winter.
Light Hill Meats expands into Huntsville
Light Hill Meats, a family-owned pasture-to-plate butcher shop based in Spring Hill, Tennessee, will open Corban’s Smash House at the mixed-use development along Memorial Parkway.
The restaurant will use a proprietary meat blend sourced directly from Light Hill Meats. The concept will combine a butcher shop with a burger-focused restaurant, giving customers access to fresh meat and prepared meals.
A restaurant designed for families
Corban’s Smash House takes its name from Corban, the son of Light Hill Meats founder Ben Neale, who has autism. The restaurant is being designed as a welcoming space for families, including those with children who have special needs.
Light Hill Meats raises its cattle in Giles County, Tennessee, and has spent more than two decades developing its herd and production operation. The company also operates its own processing facility in Lynnville, Tennessee.
Stadium Commons continues to grow
Corban’s Smash House will join several other businesses at Stadium Commons, including Free People, FP Movement, Ferren Boutique, VSL Nail Spa and Hattie B’s Hot Chicken.
More tenants are expected to arrive later in 2026 as construction continues on the development’s second phase. A full-access traffic signal for the project is scheduled to begin construction in January 2027.
The new restaurant is expected to open this winter, giving Huntsville another dining option near Joe Davis Stadium.
