According to online reports, Huntsville Culinary Month kicks off on Aug. 1, bringing a month of food-focused events, local dining specials, and the return of Huntsville Restaurant Week from Aug. 14–23.
Restaurant Week highlights local dining
Now in its 15th year, Huntsville Restaurant Week celebrates the city’s growing food scene with exclusive menus, special offers, and promotions at participating restaurants throughout Huntsville and Madison County.
The annual event began in 2012 to support local restaurants and encourage residents and visitors to explore the area’s diverse dining options. Since then, it has expanded into Culinary Month, which now features food and beverage events throughout August.
Additionally, organizers encourage diners to visit a variety of local restaurants and discover new favorites during the 10-day celebration.
New events and chances to win
This year’s celebration introduces Food Truck Fridays at the Huntsville/Madison County Visitor Center. Every Friday in August, visitors can enjoy breakfast and lunch from rotating local food trucks.
Another featured attraction is the free 2026 Rocket City Dish Pass. Participants can check in at participating restaurants throughout Restaurant Week for opportunities to win prizes while keeping track of featured specials and culinary events.
Meanwhile, organizers will also host social media giveaways during the month, giving diners additional chances to win restaurant gift cards by sharing their experiences using #DineHSV.
Celebrating Huntsville’s growing food scene
The Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau created the event to showcase the area’s expanding culinary community, which now includes a wide range of chefs, bakers, brewers, coffee shops, and restaurants representing cuisines from around the world.
As Huntsville continues to grow, local leaders say the city’s diverse population has helped shape an increasingly vibrant dining scene. Therefore, Culinary Month serves as an opportunity to support local businesses while experiencing new flavors across the Rocket City throughout August.
