Storage building fire erupts in Madison County

A large fire damaged a storage building in Madison County on Sunday, drawing a major response from several local fire departments, according to online reports.

Fire Breaks Out at Madison County Storage Building

Fire crews responded to a structure fire in the 100 block of Teresa Drive shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. The Harvest Volunteer Fire Department arrived first and quickly called for mutual aid from Monrovia Volunteer Fire-Rescue and Toney Volunteer Fire & Rescue.

In addition, firefighters reported that the building was already heavily involved when they arrived. Initial reports also indicated possible explosions coming from inside the structure.

Multiple Fire Departments Respond to Blaze

Crews worked together to bring the fire under control. Officials said the response required a significant amount of water to fully extinguish the flames.

Furthermore, the Harvest Volunteer Fire Department reported that approximately 180,000 gallons of water were used during the operation. Firefighters said they contained the fire within about an hour.

No Injuries Reported as Investigation Continues

Despite the intensity of the fire, officials confirmed that no injuries were reported. Fire crews remained on scene to ensure the area was safe after the blaze was extinguished.

In addition, authorities have not yet released information on the cause of the fire. Investigations are expected to continue as crews assess the damage.
